We partner with community organisations around New Zealand to bring these workshops to your region.
Building Organisational responsiveness in a changing environment: Recent changes in Government funding and financial reporting requirements, fundamental policy changes, and an emphasis on demonstrating the meeting of contracted outcomes, have important implications for the NGO sector. Government is also calling for greater collaboration and consolidation.
Managing Leading and Governing in service organisations
for the staff and board/management committee of not-for-profit organisations. This workshop focusses on the changing roles and responsibilities of management and governance as organisations develop. What capacity and capability are needed? Do you have the right people in the right places? How will you adapt to the current context?
Managing Transition in small community organisations
for the staff and management committee members of smaller organisations. Are you organisationally ready and able to respond and maintain your work in the light of the sector changes?
Organisation specific workshops
Bring your staff and board or management committee together for a day and explore your current (and potential) capacity and capability. Where are your strengths? Gaps?
If you would like to work with us to facilitate you to apply the CGO Development Model to your specific organisation, contact judith@cgotransitions.co.nz
If you would like us to bring a workshop to your district, or want us to work with your organisation, please be in touch as soon as possible: workshops@cgotransitions.co.nz. Our aim is to make this development training as widely available as possible. We encourage more than one person from each organisation to attend (senior staff and board members together) and price accordingly so this can happen.
Workshops are based on the book Stepping Through Transitions: management leadership and governance in not-for-profit organisations by Judith McMorland and Ljiljana Eraković.
